AIME consortium

The partners of the “Applied International Monetary Economics” consortium, Maastricht University (Netherlands), Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), Université d’Orléans (Franc), University of Sta. Cruz (CA, USA) and Clemson University (SC, USA) developed this integrated excellence in mobility program, complemented by an innovative cohort design. The program offer enhanced extracurricular activities including cultural and linguistic preparation, and a study trip to the European Union institutions with the aim of providing students with a full transatlantic learning experience.

Program information

The EU-US Atlantis program is an integrated excellence mobility program, complemented by an innovative cohort design. The 4-year mobility program at the master level gives 48 students the opportunity to study together in their cohorts at five diverse and accomplished schools of economics, and experience different educational, cultural and linguistic settings. It enables students to emerge with an enhanced understanding of market institutions and social systems that are shaping the future development of regional, national and global economies.

By participating in cross-cultural activities we want to develop an appreciation of the cultural similarities and differences between Europe and the USA. By promoting mutual understanding and increasing knowledge not only of international monetary economics, but also of the institutions, languages, and cultures of the EU and the US we believe to contribute to the development of high potential minds.
