All short-listed nominees for the Societal Impact Award have made a short video describing their project, make sure to watch all three video’s below and cast your vote!

Supporting Refugee Entrepreneurship in the Netherlands

The project of Jarrod Ormiston, assistant professor in social entrepreneurship at the Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship (MC4E), focuses on refugee entrepreneurship in the Netherlands. More specifically, how refugees and asylum seekers are supported and educated in entrepreneurship.

This research has been awarded the Alumni Fund by the Limburg University Fund/SWOL.

How can firms actively improve audit quality?

Over the past 5 years the research team, consisting of Therese Grohnert, Roger Meuwissen and Wim Gijselaers, developed a new research perspective on how to analyse auditors’ behaviors and judgments as a determinant for audit quality by combining insights from audit research, cognitive psychology and educational research.

Nationaal Cohortonderzoek Onderwijs

The Nationaal Cohortonderzoek Onderwijs, carried out by Rolf van der Velden, Mark Levels, Lynn van Vugt, Timo Huijgen and Per Bles, is a nation-wide cohort study on the educational pathways and performance of all pupils in Dutch primary and secondary education, funded by the National Regieorgaan Onderwijsonderzoek.
