Excellence Programme Brightlands

The Excellence Programme Brightlands started in September 2016 and brings together a ‘top class’ of management members from public administration, the business community, and knowledge and other institutions with the aim of strengthening their knowledge level, network and understanding of the Triple Helix approach. This will enable them to make a concrete contribution to the development of the Limburg region.

The programme has Maastricht University, the Province of Limburg and LED as its ‘founding fathers’.

SBE candidates: Ingrid Voncken, Marion Hameleers

Researchista

Researchista is a communication platform between researchers and wider public by way of 2 components. The first component consists of a blog, where every month a new topic is approached and researchers specialized on that area are invited to share their views and research on it. The second component consists in encouraging researchers to get creative and inspire others to create a material object out of their research projects.

SBE candidates: Irina Burlacu, Denis de Crombrugghe

Thesis-Internship Programme

The Thesis-Internship Programme allows master’s students to combine a part-time internship with writing their thesis, providing a win–win situation for both student and company: the student gains professional experience and the company receives an academically researched solution to a pressing issue. In addition, it is an opportunity for SBE and companies to connect and develop their relationship further.

SBE candidates: Burak Can, Anouk Quaden, Esther Kockelkoren
