Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- What is the SCOPE Bookstore?
The SCOPE Bookstore has a long tradition in the history of SBE Students. It is operated by SBE Study Association SCOPE Maastricht. Usually students need books for each course. You can find information about which books to buy on the pages of the respective courses here on EleUM.
- Where can I find the SCOPE Bookstore?
The Bookstore is located in Tongersestraat 53 (SBE Mail Building) in Zone F0. It only opens at the beginning each block. The opening hours as well as a list for Bachelor and Master books are published under ‘Announcements’ (in the menu on the right side).
- How can I get a discount?
Valid members of Study Association SCOPE can receive a significant discount in the book store. Membership in SCOPE also conveys a lot of other benefits – you can find more information on our website. To register and become member in SCOPE click on ‘Registration’ in the menu on the left and fill out the form. Please remember to always bring your UM card to the bookstore!
- I am a member of SCOPE, but I do not get the discount. What went wrong?
The discount on study material is denied for either one of the following reasons: (a) Termination of membership: You membership has expired. This might be due to the fact that you have a study delay and are longer in university than expected or you graduated with your Bachelor and immediately continue with your Master study. (b) Blacklisting: Members can be blacklisted if there are any outstanding payments, e.g. membership fee, payments for study trips, extra tutorials etc. (c) Non-Paid Cash Members: Students who registered as cash-paying member on the registration form, but did not make any payment, will not receive any membership benefits until all outstanding payments are made. If any of these cases might apply to you, contact our Treasurer as soon as possible.
- How can I contact you if I have further questions?
Contact person for this EleUM page and the bookstore is the Vice President of SCOPE Maastricht. You can get in contact via mail. For questions you can also visit our office during the office hours, for more information click here.
