Grade Point Average (GPA)

Bachelors

The Grade Point Average (‘GPA’) of a Bachelor’s exam (first-year’s exam and final Bachelor’s exam) equals the weighted average of all final numerical grades on the students’ Bachelor’s grade transcript*. The weighting is based on the ECTS credits of the educational units of the Bachelor’s exam.

Note that also unsuccessfully completed educational units of the Bachelor’s exam that resulted in an insufficient final numerical grade, are calculated in the GPA, although the unsuccessfully completed educational units will not appear on the Final Bachelor’s grade transcript** belonging to the diploma.

GPA calculation:
(numerical grade * ECTS) + (numerical grade * ECTS) +…/ total ECTS = GPAExemptions do not constitute part of your GPA

The GPA will be issued upon graduation on student’s Final Bachelor’s grade transcript. The final GPA will not be rounded off and is a number with 2 decimals (e.g. GPA 6.40).

**‘Final Bachelor’s grade transcript’: a grade transcript listing only the successfully completed examinations (without failed educational units/insufficient numerical grades), which the student receives together with his/her diploma/graduation certificates.
