Learning approach: the so-called Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach at the SBE allows you to work on problems in small groups of about ten to fourteen students with the assistance of a Tutor. This means you need to participate during tutorial groups and skills trainings, as well as fulfilling your assignment and exam requirements. Presentations are often a part of this learning method.

Attendance: Your attendance and participation in tutorial groups is essential to your learning process. Your attendance will therefore be registered by the course coordinator; at the end of the course period, you should check whether your attendance records are correct. In the first year of your bachelor’s programme, if you have attended at least 75% of the group tutorials in a course period, you will be exempted from the course assignment for that course. For skills training (including the language training and Economy Game/Management Game), 100% attendance may be required – check in the relevant study materials.

Course assignments: If you are required to take or re-take a first year course assignment, you can hand in your course assignment at the Information Desk. Course assignments in the final bachelor are arranged by the Course Coordinator. For information on deadlines for course assignments, click here.

Grading: Grades are given on a scale of 0.0-10.0 in whole grades, half grades or a pass/fail. A grade of 5.5 is a pass. For more information on grades, please refer to the Education and Examination Regulations.
