Workshop on Environmental Time Series Analysis

From June 14 (noon) to June 15, 2022, we organize a hybrid workshop on time series methods in environmental and climate sciences at Maastricht University – School of Business and Economics. The goal of this workshop is to bring researchers and practitioners from these fields together with statisticians and econometricians working on time series methods.

The workshop will be broadly centered around four topics:

  • Trends in Environmental and Climatological Data
  • Statistical Modelling in a (Climate) Changing World
  • Economic Drivers and Impacts of Climate Change
  • Patterns in and Prediction of Weather and Ocean Variables

The workshop combines participation from:

  • Researchers and practitioners in environmental or climate sciences who have a problem that could benefit from analysis with time series and panel data methods. They are invited to explain their problems, data and what they would hope to get out of a statistical analysis.
  • Statisticians and econometricians working on (high-dimensional) time series methods who would like to apply their methodology to environmental and climatological problems. They are invited to explain their methods and how they could be useful for environmental applications.

The full programme can be found here.
